We have been funded for running work training programs for street sleepers and poor.
Our service users have multiple problems: poverty, unemployment, living in poor environments or street sleeping. They may have experienced mishaps in lives or made wrong choices like drug use, alcoholic, or gambling. After all, these backgrounds bring them with hardship and psychological deficit that quite often make them difficult to relate with others. They have no one can talk to or rely on.
In turn, they become withdrawn and isolated themselves in their wretched small world. We believed that their self-esteem and dignity must be first established before change can take place.
